The Housing/Neighborhood Development Department of Winston Salem, N.C., develops housing and neighborhood revitalization plans and programs. It provides various financing options for the purchase of newly constructed homes in redevelopment areas and in city-assisted subdivisions. The department also administers local and federally funded housing and community development programs that are administered by the city departments and other public and nonprofit agencies.
