Westport is a town in Essex County, New York, United States overlooking Lake Champlain. The population was 1,362 at the 2000 census.
The Town of Westport is on the eastern border of the county and is 35 miles (56 km) south of Plattsburgh and 93 miles (150 km) south of Montreal. Westport is inside the Adirondack Park.
Westport is the birthplace of the Adirondack chair.
