Batavia is a village in and the county seat of Clermont County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,617 at the 2000 census.

The racial makeup of the village was 94.50% White, 3.28% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 1.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.37% of the population.
