Copyright 2007 | Midwest Railway Preservation Society, Inc | 2800 W. 3rd Street, OH 44115 Cleveland The Midwest Railway Preservation Society ( MRPS ) is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) corporation based in Cleveland, Ohio. We are dedicated to collecting, preserving, restoring, displaying, and operating railway equipment for the education and enjoyment of the public. The organization was founded in 1955, and since 1975 has been based at the former B&O Roundhouse on West 3rd Street in Cleveland. We also own a 125-year old train depot in Glenwillow, Ohio.We currently own over 20 pieces of vintage rolling stock, including the 1918 USRA light Mikado steam locomotive - the "4070" - that provided the original motive power for excursions in the Cuyahoga Valley. We also own the corporate name of the now-defunct "Cleveland Terminal & Valley Railway" that once operated out of Cleveland.
