The Finance Department, a part of the city of Dayton in Ohio, provides financial management services for taxpayer resources in the city. The department receives and disburses cash, as well as links the city with the banking community by managing city investments. It operates the Division of Accounting and Treasury, which installs and supervises the accounts of various departments and offices of the city government. The division also collects receivables, disburses payables, receives and invests cash, and administers payroll for city and municipal court employees. It additionally manages the Division of Revenue and Taxation, which offers income tax administration services. The division is responsible for meter reading of the city s water enterprise.
