The Lebanon Correctional Institution is administered by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Established in 1960, the institution houses more than 2,500 inmates and coordinates a variety of programs. It administers the Sex Offender Program and the Chaplains' Literacy Program. The Lebanon Correctional Institution s inmate programs includes career courses in printing, metal fabrication, license plate manufacturing and data entry operation. The institution also coordinates GED, adult basic education, college and literacy programs for inmates. Its inmates participate in various types of community services, including highway litter cleanup and book reading on tapes for schools. The Lebanon Correctional Institution s inmates additionally participate in religious services and vocational programs.
