Established in 1959, the Innes Seventh/Eighth Grade Academy is a coeducational institution that provides learning opportunities for more than 900 students in grades seven and eight. The school teaches physical education and health, spelling and vocabulary, science, music, art, reading, technology, math, science, social studies, English and language arts. The Innes Seventh/Eighth Grade Academy has a library media center that provides access to full-text pamphlets, reference books, biographies, primary source documents, photos, maps and flags. It organizes a variety of sports activities, such as soccer, cheerleading, cross country, football, basketball, softball, and track and field. The Innes Seventh/Eighth Grade Academy is a part of Akron Public Schools and is located in Akron, Ohio.
