Founded in 1988, High Point Elementary serves more than 480 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers a range of educational programs for the development of academic, social, emotional and physical skills of children. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, math, social studies, science, physical education, music, reading and art. It also offers Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) and gifted and talented education programs. The school has a parent-teacher association that conducts various fundraising events, such as class parties, annual reading nights, walkathons, market days and box top collection. Its library and media center has a collection of more than 24,000 books. High Point Elementary is a part of Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools.
