Operational since 1995, the Foss Lake Adventure Program is operated by the Southwestern Oklahoma State University. The program focuses on the neurological development of children. It offers assistance to enhance emotional, social, physical and intellectual skills. The Foss Lake Adventure Program provides cognitive behavioral therapy, substance abuse education and vocational training services. The program offers therapeutic services for individuals, groups and families. In addition, it provides a variety of adventurous activities, such as sailing, swimming, hiking, camping, mountain climbing, rappelling and equestrian trail exploration. The Foss Lake Adventure Program offers practicum and internship opportunities for university students in the areas of social work, health, chemical dependency, psychology and education.
