Albertsons Distribution Center, located in Ponca City, Okla., is one of approximately 20 company-owned distribution centers throughout the United States. The 420,000 square foot Ponca City facility is a full-line warehouse that stores pharmaceutical products, health and beauty products and general merchandise. Its products are distributed to Albertsons retail grocery/supermarket stores throughout the Midwest. Its parent company, Albertsons Incorporated, is traded publicly on the New York and Pacific Stock Exchanges under the ticker symbol ABS. Together, the Albertsons group forms one of the largest retail food and grocery chains in the world. The Albertsons grocery concept was established in 1939 and maintains headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
