Founded in 1889, the Mount Angel Seminary comprises a graduate school of theology and a college of liberal arts and provides a range of graduate and undergraduate programs. It serves the needs of dioceses and religious communities throughout the United States and Canada. The seminary s master s degree programs include courses in divinity, theology and scripture concentration. The Mount Angel Seminary maintains the Damian Center, which contains various facilities for athletics, including a Jacuzzi and sauna, locker and weight rooms, and basketball and racquetball courts. It operates a store that sells textbooks and course materials, as well as school and office supplies. The seminary is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) and the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS). Additionally, it is a member of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA). The Mount Angel Seminary is located in St. Benedict, Ore.
