Tillamook Cheese

The Tillamook County Creamery Association was formed by farmers in 1909 and within a few years it incorporated all 25 operating cheese factories in Tillamook County, Ore. Tillamook brand dairy products can be found in almost every grocery store in the Northwest and at many locations throughout the United States. The farmer-owned cooperative produces cheese, ice cream, butter, sour cream and yogurt products. The association sells the following varieties of cheddar cheeses: Tillamook Medium, Smoked, Kosher/Vegetarian Medium, Reduced-Fat (all aged 60 days), Sharp (aged 9 months), Special Reserve Extra Sharp (aged 15 months), Vintage White Medium (aged 100 days), Vintage White Extra Sharp and Vintage White Extra Sharp Smoked (both aged 2 years). It also sells Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, Pepper Jack, Colby, Colby Jack, Reduced Fat Monterey and Swiss cheeses. Tillamook's top selling product is the Tillamook two-pound medium Baby Loaf.
