Train Mountain is the world's largest model railroad with over 35 miles of 7.5 inch gauge track on 2200 acres of beautiful private forest. Visitors may take a self-guided walking tour to view a collection of full-scale equipment including cabooses, snow removal equipment and a variety of other pieces. Educational train tours on a ride-on scale train winding though the Ponderosa pine forest and passing by miniature towns may also be available during the summer months. Visitors can bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it in a serene parklike setting. There is no fee, however, the organization loves donations which help keep Train Mountain Railroad Museum going.
