Founded in 1980, Wharton Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) provides free consulting services to entrepreneurs. The center is a division of the Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Research Center of Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs. Based in Philadelphia, Pa., it is one of 18 SBDCs in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is strongly committed to helping small businesses in the Philadelphia area. The center offers a variety of services for new and established (small) entrepreneurs, including strategic business planning, introductory meetings and innovating complex business models. Additionally, it offers specialized consulting services for criteria's, including environmental management, government marketing, technology commercialization, international business and product development.
