Natural Lands Trust, founded in 1953, is one of the leading nonprofit land conservation organizations in the United States. The organization s areas of operations include management and restoration of natural preserves, protection of regional natural assets, land acquisition, planning and land management. It owns and manages more than 16,000-acres of nature preserves throughout Delaware. The organization also provides Web-based tools to municipalities and communities for planning and consultation of flood management, groundwater recharge and withdrawals, analyze water quality, and resource mapping.
