Founded in 1934, Hooverville Elementary School provides learning experiences for students in kindergarten through grade six. It offers educational classes in reading, math, writing and physical education. The school employs a work force of doctors, professional musicians, dancers, technology facilitators, biologists and teachers. Its facility features a computer laboratory, multipurpose room, media center, health suite and more than 15 classrooms. Hooverville Elementary School operates a library that stocks an inventory of over 14,000 books. It also conducts Spanish classes. The school also assists in the development of communication skills. It organizes book fairs, science exhibitions and concerts. It conducts a parent-teacher organization that provides financial assistance to the school by organizing various fundraising events and activities. With a location in Waynesboro, Pa., Hooverville Elementary School is owned and operated by the Waynesboro Area School District.
