Division of Developmental Disabilities is a part of the department of mental health, retardation and hospitals of Rhode Island. The division offers a range of services for adults with developmental disabilities. It works in collaboration with a variety of community provider agencies. Division of Developmental Disabilities assists with residential, employment and family support services. It supports more than 280 individuals through Rhode Island Community and Supports (RICLAS). The Department of Mental Health, Retardation, and Hospitals also operates through behavioral health care division that provides services to adults with mental disorders. The behavioral health care division also offers substance abuse treatment solutions.
