Pelion Elementary School enrolls more than 1,000 students in grades kindergarten through five and is located in Pelion, S.C. It provides a safe and nurturing learning environment where students apply problem-solving strategies learned through written, oral and experiential applications in the classroom. The subjects cover core curricular areas, including language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. The school provides more than 25 computers in its media center. Its teachers and parent have collaborated with community agencies to develop and implement an integrated educational program for all students. It encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as its band and student council, and sports, such as basketball, volleyball and softball. Pelion Elementary School is a part of the Lexington School District.
