Carolina Orthopaedic Surgery Associates was founded by Thomas G. Fleischer in 1983. The center provides orthopedic care to the residents of York, Chester and Lancaster counties in South Carolina. The center has grown from one physician to eight board-certified orthopedic surgeons with a new state-of-the-art facility located in Rock Hill, S.C., and offices located in Lancaster and Chester counties. Its physicians are on staff at Piedmont Medical Center, Elliott White Springs Memorial, Chester County Hospital, and Mercy South in South Carolina. Carolina Orthopaedic Surgery Associates also provides educational information to its clients. Its physical therapy department performs services directed at preventing the onset and decreasing the development of conditions resulting from injury and disease. The physical therapist provides these services to people who have functional conditions resulting from musculoskeletal injuries, such as sprains and strains and fractures. Carolina Orthopaedic Surgery Associates center also has an office in Fort Mill, S.C.
