Ian Christopher Bostock Rosenzweig, MD, MS

Dr. Barry Gibney is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at MUSC. He completed his general surgery training at Penn State Hershey, and his thoracic surgery training at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Gibney takes care of patients with lung and esophageal cancer, mesothelioma, mediastinal and chest wall tumors, and benign esophageal diseases such as reflux, achalasia, and paraesophageal hernias. Additionally, he cares for end-stage lung disease in a multidisciplinary lung transplant team. He has special interests in esophageal cancer and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. His published research can be found on the National Institutes of Health PubMed website.

Dr. Matthew Kohler joined MUSC Women's Care as a gynecologist oncologist in 1998 and now serves as the director of the division of MUSC gynecology oncology. He is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology, and gynecologic oncology. His specialties include radical and minimally invasive (robotic) surgery for gynecologic cancers, chemotherapy, and gestational trophoblastic disease. Dr. Kohler received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, then went on to Duke University for his medical degree, residency, and a gynecology oncology fellowship.

Tia Ramirez, ARNP, is a certified nurse practitioner specializing in cancer and focusing on Gynecology. She has worked as a nurse in oncology since 2005. She graduated from the University of Phoenix with her Masters in FNP in 2017. She trained at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and assisted with opening a satellite clinic in AZ. Tia has worked in various areas of oncology and finds it very rewarding to be a part of her patient's cancer journey.Tia is committed to treating every patient with respect and compassion. Tia wants her patients to be well-informed and to feel comfortable discussing sensitive subjects with her to ensure she addresses all aspects of her patient's health.She moved to Myrtle Beach from WA for better weather and work/life balance.
