Todd Metz graduated from Walsh University with a bachelor's degree in Pre-Med/Biology in 2003. Through their accelerated program, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007 from the University of Akron. After graduation, he moved to Charleston, South Carolina, and worked as an R.N. at Roper Hospital in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. He graduated from MUSC's College of Nursing with a Master's in Nursing in Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2013. He remained at Roper Hospital in the SICU as a Nurse Practitioner and became the Supervisor of the Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Roper Hospital. As the lead APP for the Intensivist Services, he supervised 13 other APPs at both Roper Hospital in the SICU and CVICU, as well as the ICU at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, and continued to lead them for seven years. More recently, he accepted the position as bedside APP for the Department of Anesthesia in the MSICU and will start this summer.

Kennedy Vorwaller, MSN, APRN, ACNPC-AG, is an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certified through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Throughout her graduate schooling she continued providing care as a Registered Nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Burn Intensive Care Unit. Kennedy relocated from Nashville, Tennessee to Charleston, South Carolina in 2024 where she is working as a Nurse Practitioner for MUSC Physicians within the Department of Anesthesia-Division of Critical Care in the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Her clinical interest includes managing various types of shock, pulmonary medicine, complex multi-organ failure, and palliative care for individuals with severe illnesses. She enjoys participating in quality improvement projects, emergent and non-emergent bedside procedures, and precepting new staff.
