Founded in 1992 and located in Pine Ridge, S.D., the SuAnne Big Crow Boys and Girls Club is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs and services for more than 900 youths between the ages of 7 and 17. Its facilities include a gymnasium, swimming pool, library, computer laboratory, and arts and crafts rooms. The organization provides social and athletic opportunities for club members. Its programs promote educational and spiritual growth through academic activities and the promotion of health and wellness activities. The organization also provides recreational, scholarship and after-school care programs. It is a part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which is a national network of more than 4,000 neighborhood-based facilities. Founded in 1906 and headquartered in Atlanta, it offers guidance-oriented character development programs for children.
