Goldsmithing since 1922, Stamper Black Hills Gold, a family-owned company, has been in the jewelry industry for two generations. Ed Stamper and Amy Stamper purchased the company in 1959 from Clara Arnold. From a two-man operation, Stamper has grown into a nationally recognized company with more than 100 employees and sales representatives. Stamper jewelry is created in its factory near Rapid City, S.D., in the Black Hills. The company makes its own products from 10, 12 and 14 karat gold. Stamper does its alloying, designing and handcrafting, and markets its jewelry under the Genuine or SBHG trademarks. From original design to hand-craftsmanship, Stamper offers a range of contemporary fashions, including the Blackhills Gold, Harley-Davidson and Ford jewelry lines.
