Alzheimer's Day Services of Memphis, established in 1983, is a nonprofit organization that operates and offers daycare programs for people suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The organization provides community-based support for families to help prevent, divert and delay institutionalized care and associated financial expenses. It offers adult daycare services to patients suffering from Alzheimer's and disorders resulting in dementia from strokes, Parkinson's disease and Multiple Sclerosis. The center offers a safe and socializing daytime environment for patients and promotes and maintains basic functioning levels. Alzheimer's Day Services of Memphis also provides educational and support programs for caregivers and families. The center has two locations in Memphis, Tenn.
