The Memphis Police Department is a multidimensional agency that offers policing and law enforcement services. The department operates various service units that maintain law and order and provide investigation services, including traffic control, air support, and harbor and mounted patrol. In addition, it prevents identity theft and fraud, initiates special operations, and offers safety tips and community policing, as well as maintains online options for sex offender registry, crime map and cyber watch.
