The company's chief product was a gas-tight flexible hose for use in all types of gas heating and gas illuminating devices. In 1952, the company changed its name to Flexonics. In 1960, after 57 years of private ownership, Flexonics was acquired by Calumet & Hecla. Five years later, the Signal Companies purchased Calumet & Hecla, and shortly thereafter Flexonics was acquired by privately-held Zimmerman Holdings. In 1992 Senior Engineering purchased the Flexonics companies and the name changed to Senior Flexonics. In the Original Equipment Manufacturing market, Flexonics has experienced significant growth in the automotive, engine and the medical field.
