Johnny Red Floyd Stadium is a stadium located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Johnny Red Floyd Stadium currently houses the NCAA team the MTSU Blue Raiders. The stadium opened as Horace Jones Field on October 14, 1933 with the construction taking just over ten months. The latest renovation was in 1997 at a cost of $25 million.
The MTSU Blue Raiders are members of the C-USA Conference of the within National Collegiate Athletic Association. They are known by their team colors consisting of blue and white. Their mascot is the Lighting. Past players include Benny Cunningham, Chris McCoy and Erik Walden.
The stadium currently holds 30,788 fans. Currently, it is the 98th largest stadium in the NCAA. The record fan attendance of 30,502 occurred on September 10, 2011 against Georgia Tech. In terms of parking there is on-campus parking and satellite parking lots both containing general and reserved spots.
Season tickets are available with prices starting around $85. Individual tickets start at about $15 depending on the game. Tickets are available through the team website and ticket exchanges.
