Maryville High School, founded in 1918, is a four-year public high school serving the educational needs of students in grades nine through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 1,300 students and is a part of the Maryville School District. The high school is famous for its academic and athletic excellence. The governor of Tennessee has designated Maryville High School as an A+ school. Its sports teams, nicknamed the Red Rebels, are also well known for region and state championships every year. The school offers classes in various subjects, such as fine arts, English, math, foreign languages, science, social studies and vocational education. It also provides special education to students with special needs. The school offers several extracurricular activities, such as band, choir and orchestra.
