Presbyterian Day School, founded in 1949 as a mission of Second Presbyterian Church, offers learning opportunities for boys in prekindergarten through grade six. It is one of the largest elementary schools for boys in the United States and has an enrollment of more than 600 students. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Presbyterian Day School is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, Southern Association of Independent Schools, Tennessee Association of Independent Schools and Memphis Association of Independent Schools. It has over 100 faculty and staff members who provide instruction in English, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, Spanish and Bible and emphasize Christianity as the foundation of a healthy society.
