Dr. Shah was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was a National Merit Scholar, testing in the top one-half of one percent of all students in the United States. Dr. Shah attended Northwestern University for college as well as Medical School and was a member of the Honors Program in Medical Education. He completed an internship in General Surgery, and then a residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) at Wayne State University in Detroit.
