History

Coming off a successful amateur career in the Los Angeles area, Liz Peltola began teaching and training in Southern California. Specializing in western pleasure, hunter under saddle, horsemanship, equitation, trail, and showmanship, Liz has assisted hundreds of riders in achieving their goals, whether for competition or just for fun. Now located just outside of Austin, Briarcliff Performance Horses is open to riders of all ages and skill levels.

Specialties

With 17 years experience, Briarcliff Performance Horses offers top quality riding and horsemanship lessons in both English and Western. Our show barn attends numerous open, APHA and PtHA shows across Texas. For our riding academy, lessons are offered Tues-Sat on our well trained school horses. We provide all tack, and have a lighted covered ring to teach in the evenings, as well as a comfortable viewing booth for friends and family. Nestled on 430 acres just 30 minutes from Downtown Austin, we can accommodate everyone. Lay ups and retirement board now offered on our lush pastures. Prices: Horsemanship introductory lesson:$125 Perfect for a first lesson in horsemanship.
