Walnut Creek Elementary School, operated by the Austin Independent School District, offers enrollment to more than 1,100 students in prekindergarten to grade six. It offers an academic program that focuses on reading, language arts and math skills education. It also offers classes in physical education, art and computer applications. Walnut Creek Elementary School, founded in 1961, also has a parent-teacher organization that supports school activities and programs. The elementary school provides a wide range of after-school programs and extracurricular activities, such as dragon dance, Vietnamese folk dances, weekend field trips, and sports, including martial arts, kickball, flag football, soccer and ping pong. It has its campus in Austin, Texas.
