Daisy Brand began delivering sour cream out of a horse-drawn buggy in Chicago more than 75 years ago. The company moved to Dallas in the 1970s to specialize solely on producing sour cream. In 1986, the company introduced the first light sour cream to the American market. Daisy Brand sour cream comes in regular, light and no fat products that range in a size. The company, which has a location in Garland, Texas, opened a new manufacturing facility that was double the size of its old facility. The company caters to restaurants and hotels and is one of the largest sour cream suppliers in the United States. The American Tasting Institute has awarded Daisy Brand sour cream as the best tasting regular and light sour cream the past six years. Its no fat sour cream has won the same award the past two years.
