Operational for more than 50 years, Texas Electric Cooperatives, also known as TEC, offers repair, remanufacture and maintenance services for electric system equipment. It provides laboratory, hazardous waste disposal and environmental consultation services. With annual revenues of over $150 million, the cooperative maintains a nearly 160,000-square-foot facility, as well as procures utility devices. Texas Electric Cooperatives also manages a cooperatively owned utility pole production facility that is spread over an area of nearly 50 acres and manufactures over 145,000 poles annually. It offers supply chain management solutions and publishes approximately 55 local versions of the Texas Co-op Power magazine, which has a monthly circulation of more than 1 million.
