The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, also known as DADS, provides a range of programs, opportunities and services for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities in Texas. It offers adult foster and family care, community attendant, day activity, health and emergency response services. The department also provides hospice care and integrated care management services, as well as a consolidated waiver program. Its home management services include changing bed linens, housekeeping, laundering, shopping, storing purchased items and washing dishes. Established in 2004, the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services has partnerships with consumers, caregivers, service providers and other stakeholders.
