Mission Police Department is a computerized police department that offers a range of law enforcement services. Its patrol division covers an area of more than 30.6 square miles and serves more than 49,000 residents in the city of Mission, Texas. The department s criminal investigation division handles crimes against property and persons, as well as processes criminal evidence and tracks suspects. Its K-9 unit is responsible for the recovery of evidence and the tracking of felony suspects. Mission Police Department s motorcycle patrol unit utilizes several motorcycles equipped with red and blue emergency lights, a hands-free communication radio, high-technology radar system and other essential equipment.
