La Encantada Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 450 students in prekindergarten through grade five and has nearly 50 staff members. The school helps all children meet high standards of academic achievement through a curriculum alignment, individualized instruction, technology, library scheduling and a positive learning environment. An accelerated reading program is also implemented that provides students with a diverse range of reading resources, which helps students increase their reading and vocabulary skills and self-esteem. The school encourages the students to participate in multimedia contest, science fair and spelling bee. Its staff provides a learning experience that is built on cooperative effort between parent and child through parent-teacher monthly meetings, parent volunteer program, weekly parent meetings, fall carnival and parental letters from teachers. It is Title I school and has reading and computer labs and a learning center. The school additionally provides content mastery and tutorials and an enrichment program, and is located in San Benito, Texas.
