Eddie H. Huang, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in total joint reconstruction with an emphasis on minimally invasive treatment of hip and knee arthritis and joint preservation techniques, including osteotomies and cartilage transplants. He’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Dr. Laura Torres-Barré is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Torres-Barré specializes in Sports Medicine. Dr. Torres-Barré is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Orthopedic Women’s Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Texas Orthopedic Association.

Dacia J. Ticas, MD, is fellowship-trained and double board-certified in sports medicine and emergency medicine. She focuses on nonoperative sports injuries and specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. She provides nonsurgical treatment options such as physical therapy, splinting, bracing, oral and topical medications, and various injections to help her patients achieve their desired activity levels. She is also an assistant professor and the director of sports medicine for the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She obtained her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed her residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. She further specialized by completing a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and child, traveling, and golfing.
