Der Lindenbaum is a truly unique dining experience in Fredericksburg, Texas, housed in a beautiful historic limestone building built by German pioneers over a century ago. With a cozy and friendly atmosphere, this restaurant is known for serving up some of the finest German specialties in Texas, including schnitzel, steaks, and great sandwiches, along with a variety of German beers and Texas wines.
Named after the ancient Linden tree that grew in front of the owner's family home in Germany, Der Lindenbaum started as a konditorei, or bakery, featuring delicious pastries. However, it gradually expanded to become one of the finest German restaurants in Texas, offering a range of Rheinland-style lunch specials and the best Schnitzels that one would expect from a Texas-German restaurant.
