Dismas Charities, founded in 1964 by Catholic priest Father William Diersen, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to healing the human spirit by providing men and women transitioning from incarceration with the skills and support needed to reintegrate into society as contributing members.

With centers of service nationwide, Dismas Charities, also known as Diersen Charities in New Mexico and Tennessee, aims to end the cycle of victimization and restore lives, families, and communities through accountability, dignity, diversity, healing, integrity, respect, and stewardship.
