History

The historic tale of Drees Homes begins in 1928. Theodore Drees was a slight man with huge aspirations. Each morning, he would pull on his tall rubber boots, grab his black metal lunch pail and tackle the day with a strong work ethic and relentless, single-minded dedication to the American Dream. Theodore Drees soon began constructing his first home in 1928 and today, a little house in Wilder, Kentucky stands in tribute to craftsmanship that endures. From those humble beginnings, Drees Homes now celebrates 80 years in business and is the nation's 27th largest homebuilder.
