Edwin Acevedo, MD

Dr. Edwin Acevedo, Jr. is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with extensive clinical and academic experience. He earned his MD from Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and holds a Master of Health Administration from Temple University. He completed a categorical general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital and is currently a plastic surgery fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In 2023, he was named Resident Educator of the Year by UT Health. His research focuses on bariatric and reconstructive surgery outcomes and patient safety economics. Dr. Acevedo is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons.
