Erbstuck Ranch

The Erbstuck homestead, a working ranch, now offers its completely restored log and rock home, circa 1850, to guests as a Hill Country getaway. We offer country serenity with a historical ambiance. Visitors can get a true glimpse of pioneer life while enjoying antiques, western decor, and a nice collection of western art. The owners, descendants of the original settlers, will be happy to share the history of the homestead if requested. Our Champion Angora goats, other livestock, wildlife (deer, birds, rabbits, fox and coyotes), and wide open spaces complete the Erbstuck experience. Located only twenty miles from Fredericksburg, this country setting is the perfect complement to a day in town. After enjoying shopping, dining, wine tours, etc. remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of the city to a quiet evening outside overlooking the seasonal creek behind the house, and later, unsurpassed star gazing. The house is rented as one unit, accommodating up to eight guests. The first bedroom has a king size bed, the second a queen, and the third two sets of bunk beds and has one large bathroom for the guests to share. It also has a fully stocked kitchen, a dining room with seating for eight, a living room with satellite TV and a working fireplace, and a cool back porch with rocking chairs. The nightly rate is $195 for two, and $30 per each additional guest. In the months of January, February, July and August the rate is reduced to $165 for two, and $30 per each additional guest.
