History

Dr. Johnson served in the Air Force shortly after graduating from optometry school. When he left the military, he decided to stay in Texas and moved to San Antonio. He leased a practice downtown and then moved to his own private practice on Bandera Road in the 1980's where he saw patients until 2003. He became affliated with Sam's Club and had two locations, one on Loop 410 and one on DeZavala Road until 2018. Looking to simplify life, he decided to see patients at the DeZavala location exclusively.

Specialties

Dr. Johnson offers optometric care for the entire family, from young toddlers to senior citizens. Eyecare features a complete eye exam, a thorough physical optical check up, basic optometric tests and a refractive diagnosis. He specializes in contact lens fitting and provides complete service starting by choosing the right lens for his patient's vision, including toric and bifocal fittings. The contact lens package includes training on how to manage lenses if needed to a final recommendation of an appropriate lens.
