Karmen Gilmore, MS, FNP-C

Dr. Biren Patel earned his medical degree in 2013 at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. He completed his Psychiatry internship and residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2016. He completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2018 and an Addiction Psychiatry fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2019. During his fellowships, he cared for patients at Ben Taub Hospital, the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center, Devereux Residential Treatment Center, JSA Health Telepsychiatry, The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Patel joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2019 and is managing physician of Behavioral Health.

Dr. Angie Sung is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who earned her Bachelor of Science in microbiology and molecular genetics from the University of California in Los Angeles in 2000. She earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Mass., in 2004. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Woodland Hills, Calif., in 2007. She was previously a partner physician for Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG), and she completed a Leadership Development Training Program at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center in 2010. She also completed a part-time faculty development fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine Department of Family and Community Medicine in 2016. Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in September 2021, Dr. Sung cared for patients as a Family Medicine physician at clinics in both California and Texas.

Amy Bui, MPAS, PA-C, earned her Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M University in College Station, graduating with honors in 2021. From there, Amy went on to Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Midland to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2024. As an OB/GYN physician assistant, Amy can provide the full spectrum of general patient care, including well woman visits, prenatal care, and contraception management, as well as diagnosis and treatment of gynecological issues such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception management, vaginitis, and menopause symptoms. She joined Kelsey-Seybold in December 2024.
