Ankur A. Kamdar, MD, is a dedicated, board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric rheumatologist.Hes also an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Kamdar was the first pediatric rheumatologist at the medical school and now leads the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology. He holds a joint clinical appointment with the Division of Rheumatology, working closely with the UT Physicians Center for Autoimmunity. He is also an associate program director for the medical schools general pediatric residency program, where he focuses on training the newest generation of pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists.Kamdar completed his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine. He did his pediatrics residency and pediatric rheumatology fellowship through Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Childrens Hospital.Kamdar is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Rheumatology and the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA). He also serves on the board for the Arthritis Foundation, raising funds for advancing education and research in understanding arthritis. He has received numerous awards for teaching and dedication to service. Beyond his clinical and academic work, Kamdar is a committed mentor, guiding future medical professionals in general pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology.

Dr. Brandy McKelvey is a board certified physician and associate professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).Regarded by patients as a physician who is easy to talk to, Dr. McKelvy's practice philosophy centers on teamwork that delivers efficient and effective healthcare. She treats primarily adults.She has served as a faculty member since 2005. Dr. McKelvy’s accolades include being named "Physician of the Year" at Memorial Herman Hospital-TMC for 2012, and multiple years being recognized for the UTHealth Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence. She enjoys training future physicians and dedicates herself to the education of medical students, residents and fellows.Nationally, she is a current member and Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society. Locally, she is member of the Texas Chapter of Society of Critical Care Medicine and served as a board member in 2011.A resident of Houston, Dr. McKelvy's favorite leisure activities are travel, exercise and wine tasting.
