History

The ranch was established on an old cattle ranch, and the charm of that simpler way of life is still plenty evident in every aspect of the Running R. Sitting out in the evening, you'll see how the country must have looked years ago when the plows and machinery that are now decoration were used to work the land. We are nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country where there's a photo opportunity around every corner. Vegetation and ground cover is mainly comprised of live oak, Texas oak, cedar, cactus and yucca with a multitude of native grasses. You can't see the roads or hear any busy traffic, just the sounds of nature combined with views so amazing and changeable they'll take your breath away.
