Located in Dallas, Dobie Primary Elementary School is operated by the Richardson Independent School District. The school teaches a variety of subjects, including reading, English, math, writing, science and social studies. In addition, it organizes various special programs, such as family math time, adventure time, 600 minute reading, and fall and spring book fairs. The school also operates a parent center that provides training to parents regarding their children, citizenship and English as a Second Language. It has a staff of over 70 members that include custodians, physical education instructors, art and music teachers, counselors, speech assistants and instructional specialists. Established in 1968, Dobie Primary Elementary School has more than 550 students enrolled in prekindergarten and kindergarten classes. The school also organizes a special program for preschool students with disabilities.
