School for the Talented and Gifted has an enrollment of approximately 200 students with developmental and learning disabilities. The school helps to enhance creative, academic, aesthetic and social skills in students in grades 9 through 12. It offers classes in science, social studies, English, math and language arts. School for the Talented and Gifted organizes individual grade-level interdisciplinary seminars. The school offers membership options for the National Honor Society, International Thespian Society and Mu Alpha Theta. It additionally provides after-school child care programs. School for the Talented and Gifted specializes in several extracurricular activities, including band, choir and orchestra. The school has a student council and chess and cross-country clubs. It is located in Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center. School for the Talented and Gifted is governed by the Dallas Independent School District.
