Grand Prairie High School serves more than 2,500 students in grades 9 through 12. Its educational programs include instruction in science, English, mathematics and social studies. The school also offers foreign language classes in French, Latin and Spanish, as well as special education services. Its curriculum includes college preparatory and career technical courses. Grand Prairie High School provides opportunities for students to participate in academic decathlon competitions and the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps programs. Its athletic activities include football, basketball, soccer, wrestling, golf and tennis. The school operates a band, choir, orchestra, and theater and visual arts teams. Grand Prairie High School features a library that offers reading and research materials. It is governed by the Grand Prairie Independent School District.
